Full Resonance Chapter 1: The New Teacher: Serena Aphrodite Harushima. Is She Stronger Than Stein?
"A sound soul, dwells within a sound mind, and a sound body."
It was a warm night in Death City. The moon shined brightly in the sky, smirking, like always.
It seemed peaceful, but looks can be deceiving, because there was a witch, with the burning passion to become Kishin, hiding somewhere within the Death City walls. The witch hid in the darkness of the alleyway, waiting for her victim, a young adult, male, to walk by. She hid while she giggled to herself, quietly, as she spotted one of her victims walk by. And like a shot of lightning she went, her pearl white hair blowing with the wind, the street lamp shining down, letting her sharp, white teeth gleam, like her sky blue eyes. And also showing her snowflake tattoo on her fare skinned cheek. The witch's dress was baby blue and long, just like her black cloak.
"They are too slow." She smirked, as she had frozen the young man. She took out a staff like object and broke the ice. Appearing there, floating, was his soul. Her hand crept toward it.
"Krystal Ice!" shouted a loud, feminine voice.
"Who's there?!" Krystal asked loudly, breaking into a cold sweat.
"I am here for your soul." The voice said again. Krystal looked up and saw a silhouette of a young woman with hair that ended at her ass, large breasts and an hourglass figure. Her ocean blue eyes gleaming in the moonlight.
"It's you..." Krystal commented, hate and fear swarmed in her eyes. The silhouette jumped down from the building and landed, perfectly, on the ground below. The street light shinned over her, exposing her brown and pink hair, tan skin, and soft, tender looking, pink lips. She wore a orchid purple, strapless shirt, with a diagonal, golden yellow, stripe. She also wore dark blue shorts and black high tops with purple motorcycle gloves.
"Serena Aphrodite Harushima..." Said the witch, with a voice that seemed brave but was truly scared, "Also known as the witch hunter. What a pleasant surprise." She finished with a smirk.
"The one and only." Serena replied, a confident smirk on her lips, twirling her weapon, Meroka Montosuwa, a double bladed scythe. Krystal smirked a second time, "You really think you can stop me?" She asked, snobby like.
"I guess you don't believe the rumors about me, huh?" Serena asked back. Krystal just shook her head, "Not really." Was her reply. Suddenly, Krystal threw an ice ball at Serena, who quickly dodged it.
"So, that's how you want to do things, huh?" Serena asked, rather annoyed, "Okay then, let's do this!" She shouted, running at Krystal, who used her "snowstorm" attack, slowly Serena down.
"Dammit!" She snarled, trying to forced her body through the storm. Right when Krystal noticed this, she made the storm a lot stronger.
"Serena, if we don't do something now. You're, most likely, going to get frostbite." Meroka said, through their psychic connection.
"I know that... but I got to do something to stop her..." Serena replied. After that, she had an idea. So she took Meroka and started twirling her around, attempting, and succeeding, to block off the snow.
"Damn! She stopped it... now what?" Krystal asked herself quietly. Serena stopped twirling her scythe and charged at Krystal, with full speed.
"Bloody needles!" She shouted, and with that, her blood created sharp, black needles that took place on her fingernails. Krystal quickly made herself a shield made of ice, trying to protect herself and the soul.
"You will never defeat me! I will eat this soul and become one step closer to become a Kishin!" She said, loudly. Serena just snickered, forcing her needles through the shield of ice, shattering it. Serena smiled, devilishly, "Is that all you got?"
"Not at all." Krystal replied, quickly making an ice dagger, and managing to cut Serena's side, making Serena place a hand on the wounded area.
"Damn" Quietly escaped Serena's lips, making the witch smirk.
"What's wrong Serena? She asked. Serena stopped and though for a moment, an idea quickly hitting her. Krystal looked at Serena, a questioned look on her face. Serena took two steps back and with one step forward, she used "soul force", swinging her left arm forward, at full force, hitting the witch in the stomach with her soul wavelength; Krystal tumbled and rolled into the wall at the very end of the alleyway. Serena ran toward the witch again, twirling Meroka around her body.
"Ready Meroka?" Serena asked.
"Ready!"
"SOUL RESONANCE!" They shouted together. Suddenly, in a bright flash of light and some violent winds, Meroka transformed into a completely different scythe.
"Soul Trapping, Genie Hunter!" Serena shouted.
"N-no! Get away!!" Krystal screamed, trying to create another shield, but it didn't work, because Serena had already slashed her scythe blade through the witch. Her body disintegrated and the only thing that was left of her was her soul, floating there, next to the other soul.
"It's truly a shame she couldn't just have given up to me..." Serena sighed. In another bright flash of light, Meroka went from being a scythe to a skinny, 5'6, fare skinned, young woman with Spirit red hair that was pulled up in a messy bun. She had strong, brown eyes that hid behind glasses and also had a beauty mark under her left eye. Her outfit consisted of a nice, white shirt, black pencil skirt and black heels.
"Well that's two souls in one night, not too bad. We should bring them to Lord Death tomorrow." Meroka commented. Serena nodded and took the souls.
"Let's hurry home then. I want to lock up these souls. And to clean my cut." Serena told Meroka, who nodded as they both walked back home together.
The next morning, at the D.W.M.A, Serena and Meroka made their way to the Death Room, to give Lord Death the souls they had collected last night. They walked into the room and saw Lord Death standing in front of the mirror, talking to his son Death the Kid. After he had finished his conversation, he turned around, looking at Serena and Meroka.
"Hello, hello, hello. What brings you both here so early in the morning?" He asked, just as cheerful as he always was.
"We have come to bring you the souls Meroka and I have collected from last night's mission." Serena smiled sweetly.
"Oh, fantastic! Great work you two." He said, enthusiastically. Serena handed over the souls to Lord Death, "Very good you two. Now before I dismiss you two I just want to remind Serena, that you need to get your classroom ready for tomorrow. And as for you Meroka. Since you are going to be a school nurse you will need either a nurses costume or just a lab coat, whichever you prefer." He reminded. Serena nodded, her sweet smile still on her face, and they both left the Death Room. Meroka left Serena and went into the Nurse's Office. As for Serena, she was day dreaming on her way to the classroom. Coming down the same hallway, was a tall, pale skinned, man with olive green eyes that hid behind glasses. He wore a, stitched lap coat with a grayish colored sweater, forest green pants and white, stitched shoes. He had a large screw coming through his head and hand numerous stitches, most of them were unseen, the main one was on his face. He was on his chair, that had wheels on it, and was smoking his cigarette while he was turning his screw. She did not notice him until it was a little too late to move out of the way; they bumped into each other, his head hitting her waist.
"Oh, I'm sorry." She said, snapping out of her day dream.
"It's fine... I'm the one that should be apologizing." He said, turning to look at Serena.
"You.. look very familiar... Have we met before, somewhere?" She asked him, confused.
"I don't know. But now that you mention it... you also look familiar..." He replied, taking a quick glimpse at her soul.
'Ambitious. Brave. Daredevil. Compassionate. Flirtatious. Great Kisser. Hot-headed. Outgoing...and... self harmed?' He thought to himself... She suddenly realized that it was Doctor Franken Stein. She felt herself blush and her heart rate triple. She apologized again and rushed off to her classroom without another word.
